Very Fine Ottoman Yataghan

An early 19 century Ottoman empire yataghan sword in its scabbard; recurved blade bears gold cartouches with decorative inscriptions; multi section horn and walrus ivory hilt with opal or jadeite cabochon inset pommel.

A very fine item, its shape and the distinct lack of Islamic writing suggests it is possibly of Greek origin.
