Refund policy

We offer a 14 day cooling period for website sales. Please contact us within the 14 day period to arrange a return for goods purchased on our website. In this event, you will be responsible for the delivery charges. This does not apply to items sold at public auction.

All items sold by us are antique, sold as seen, and their intended use is display only. The items we sell are described as accurately as we can, but some faults may only be visible in he photos. Please study the photos carefully before making a purchase, and get in touch to ask for a condition report. All items are one-off pieces, and most are over 100 or 200 years old, so wear is always expected. The items are sold for their artistic and historical qualities, and not for any other use.

Items sold at one of our public auctions are always sold as seen, and the buyer should request a condition report if they are unsure. All sales at public auction are final and non-refundable, as per UK law. All items bought at auction which are then shipped by us are also not eligible for any refund due to damage or loss during transit - all in-house shipping is done at the buyer's risk, and we recommend collecting in person if that is a concern.

If an item bought via our website is damaged during transit or fails to arrive, you must follow the steps below to qualify for a refund:

Receiving a Parcel

1. Never allow the carrier to deliver the package in your absence or to a third party. We always ship our items with adult signature required. Some couriers will message you before delivery to ask if they can deliver it to a safe place / to someone else. That instance is not covered by us or our insurance, and must be denied.

2. It is essential to always check the package before signing the delivery slip. By signing, you accept the package and declare that it is compliant and in good condition. In case of damage, or if it is the wrong size, write your comments on the delivery slip. We cannot help you if you miss this step.

3. In case of problems, keep the packaging and take pictures of it, as well as the item.

4. Contact us no later than 24 hours from receipt of the item.

These steps must be followed in order for the shipping insurance to be valid. Please make sure you contact us as soon as possible in case of any problems. We will not be able to help in the event of damage or loss unless these steps are followed.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you have received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate your case.
