A Victorian 1897 Pattern Royal Engineers Officer's Sword, manufactured by Robert Mole & Sons. Marked Robert Mole & Sons, Birmingham, Makers to the War & India Offices. Proof disc is consistent with Mole blades. Very good condition.

The sword belonged to Captain R St J Gillespie, Royal Engineers.

Captain Gillespie was Chief Engineer of the state of Chamba, Punjab, under the employment of Raja Bhuri Singh. Archive.
