Imperial Russian Long Cossack Shashka, Marked 1890

A very long and curved cossack shashka, with imperial markings and the date 189(0) on the ricasso.

The length suggests this was probably a mounted cossack's sabre. The surface of the blade is quite pitted, but was polished sympathetically. Comes with a red leather tassel.
