Hunting Hanger, Gold & Damascus Blade

A beautiful late 18th century hunting hanger from either France or Germany, with a horn hilt and carved boar heads guard.

The blade shows damascus patterns and has an excellent gold decoration near the ricasso. There are hunting scenes engraved on both sides of the blade.

Complete with its original scabbard, which shows beautiful aesthetic floral engravings on the metal chape.
